Vaishali is known as a universal and well-prepared player, blending modern opening work with sharp tactical awareness. Over the last few years, she has matured significantly as a chess player, evolving from dynamic junior talent into a stable elite competitor. She qualified for the Women’s Candidates by winning the 2025 FIDE Women’s Grand Swiss in a tremendous performance – the second time in a row, as she also triumphed in 2023. Vaishali was also part of India’s gold-medal-winning team at the 2024 Chess Olympiad. A key figure in the new generation of Indian women’s chess, Vaishali combines tactical resourcefulness with rapid growth as a classical player.
